Justin Schultz Leads Kraken to Overtime Victory Against Rangers

Justin Schultz scored his second-night goal 3:39 into overtime, leading the Seattle Kraken to a 3-2 victory over the New York Rangers on Thursday, ending a two-game losing streak. This marked Schultz’s first multigoal game in his 12-year NHL career.

Jared McCann also scored for Seattle, with Martin Jones making 28 saves. Rangers’ goals came from Mika Zibanejad and Vincent Trocheck, while Igor Shesterkin stopped 29 shots.

Seattle coach Dave Hakstol praised the team’s poise and possession in overtime. The Kraken built a strong shot advantage in the second period and maintained their lead until Trocheck’s late goal forced overtime.

Schultz highlighted the team’s improved structure and practice in overtime situations, leading to their first OT win of the season.
