The Seattle Kraken surged with four goals in the second period, including a rapid-fire trio by Eeli Tolvanen, Jordan Eberle, and Shane Wright within a three-minute span, leading them to a 6-4 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday night.

Tolvanen’s goal at 14:57 broke a 2-2 tie, giving Seattle the lead. Eberle quickly followed, extending the advantage with a goal at 17:44, and just eight seconds later, Wright’s goal put the Kraken up by three. Earlier in the period, Jared McCann had tied the game at 2-2 with the first of Seattle’s second-period barrage.

In the third period, the Flyers mounted a comeback as Cam York and Jamie Drysdale scored to bring Philadelphia within a goal, making it 5-4. However, Oliver Bjorkstrand’s goal with just over five minutes remaining reestablished a two-goal cushion for Seattle, sealing the victory.

Philadelphia’s Scott Laughton scored twice in the first period, while Brandon Montour added one for Seattle. Chandler Stephenson marked his 500th NHL game with an assist, and Kraken goaltender Philipp Grubauer recorded 21 saves.
