William Nylander scored twice, Joseph Woll made 24 saves, and the Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the Seattle Kraken 4-1 on Thursday night.
Matthew Knies and Auston Matthews, who added an empty-net goal, also scored for Toronto, helping them improve to 6-4-1. Matthews chipped in with an assist as well.
Eeli Tolvanen scored the lone goal for Seattle (5-5-1), while Joey Daccord stopped 26 shots.
Knies scored late in the first period, and Nylander added two more in the second. Tolvanen ended Woll’s shutout bid with 3:28 left, taking advantage of an extra attacker with Daccord on the bench.
