Joey Daccord made 24 saves for his first shutout of the season, leading the Seattle Kraken to a 3-0 victory over the Nashville Predators on Wednesday night.

Daniel Sprong, Brandon Montour, and Yanni Gourde scored for the Kraken, now winning five of their last six games.

Daccord was steady throughout the night, making six saves in the first period, eight in the second, and 10 in the third for his fourth career shutout and first since March 26.

Juuse Saros stopped 33 shots for Nashville, which has dropped four of its last five games (1-2-2).

Sprong opened the scoring late in the second period with his second goal of the season and first since joining Seattle on Nov. 8. Montour doubled the lead 23 seconds into the third with his fifth goal, tying him for second among defensemen in scoring. Gourde sealed the win with an empty-net goal with 2:43 remaining.

Nashville thought it had cut the deficit midway through the third, but Tommy Novak’s goal was overturned after a review determined the puck was kicked in.

Takeaways

Predators: Nashville began the game with an unusual penalty for having the wrong starting lineup. Filip Forsberg was on the ice instead of the listed Steven Stamkos, leading to a two-minute bench minor.

Kraken: Chandler Stephenson recorded assists on all three goals, marking his third multi-assist game of the season.

Key Moment

Sprong broke a scoreless tie late in the second period with 4:05 remaining. After a slick setup from Montour and Stephenson, Sprong buried the puck past Saros to give Seattle the momentum heading into the third period.

Key Stat

Seattle concluded its six-game homestand with a stellar 5-1-0 record, their best stretch at home this season.
