Oliver Bjorkstrand scored twice, and Philipp Grubauer stopped 33 shots as the Seattle Kraken cruised to a 5-1 victory over the Boston Bruins on Thursday night.
Jaden Schwartz and Vince Dunn also found the back of the net for Seattle, while Jared McCann added an empty-net goal and an assist. Shane Wright contributed two assists, continuing his strong play.
Boston’s lone goal came from Brad Marchand, who converted a penalty shot in the second period.

Bjorkstrand capitalized on a power play just 24 seconds into the game, eight seconds after Boston’s David Pastrnak was assessed a double minor for high-sticking. Schwartz followed with a backhand goal past Bruins goaltender Joonas Korpisalo five minutes later.
Dunn added to Seattle’s lead early in the third period, batting the puck into the net after a review upheld the goal. Wright then set up Bjorkstrand for his second tally of the game at 9:16, giving Seattle a commanding 4-1 advantage.
Bjorkstrand has 14 points in his last 11 games, solidifying his role as one of Seattle’s offensive leaders.
