Beniers’ OT Power-Play Goal Completes Kraken Comeback Over Flames

Matty Beniers delivered the game-winner on a power play in overtime, completing the Seattle Kraken’s late rally for a 3-2 victory over the Calgary Flames on Saturday night.

Seattle trailed by two goals late in the third, but Shane Wright and Andre Burakovsky each scored within a 2:07 span to force overtime in the final game for both teams before the 4 Nations Face-Off break.

Beniers capitalized at 2:58 of the extra frame after Calgary’s Morgan Frost was called for holding.

Goaltender Joey Daccord made 27 saves, earning his 19th win of the season in his 12th start in 13 games.

Nazem Kadri and Morgan Frost scored for Calgary, while Dustin Wolf stopped 25 shots in the loss.
