Nazem Kadri netted his second goal of the game with just two seconds left in overtime, lifting the Calgary Flames to a 4-3 victory over the Seattle Kraken on Tuesday night.

Adam Klapka and Rasmus Andersson also scored for the Flames, who earned their fourth consecutive comeback win. Matt Coronato contributed two assists.

With the win, Calgary moved to within four points of the surging St. Louis Blues for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. It still holds three games in hand.

Now on a three-game losing streak, Seattle got a power-play goal and an assist from Jaden Schwartz, while Tye Kartye and Jordan Eberle also scored. Eberle’s ninth goal tied the game with 1:30 left in regulation.

Dustin Wolf made 26 saves for Calgary, improving to 24-14-5. Joey Daccord turned aside 33 shots for Seattle but dropped to 23-19-5.

Game Takeaways

Kraken: Trailing 1-0 after the first, Seattle grabbed its only lead of the night in the second. Schwartz scored at 10:25, followed by Kartye’s breakaway goal at 18:42 — just his fifth of the season and second in 30 games.

Flames: Captain Mikael Backlund (upper-body injury) returned to practice but missed his sixth straight game. However, Calgary welcomed back top defenseman MacKenzie Weegar, who had missed one game with a lower-body issue.

Key Moments

Kadri tied the game 2-2 midway through the third on a power play that followed a high-sticking double minor by Brandon Montour. Less than two minutes later, Andersson gave Calgary a 3-2 lead. But with the extra attacker on, Seattle tied it when Eberle scored with 1:30 left. Kadri then sealed the win in OT.

Key Stat

Seattle suffered its first loss in 17 games this season when leading after two periods (now 16-0-1). Minnesota remains the only team unbeaten in that scenario.
