Joey Daccord turned aside all 25 shots he faced to earn his second shutout of the season and fifth of his career as the Seattle Kraken cruised past the Vancouver Canucks 5-0 on Wednesday night.

Andre Burakovsky recorded a goal and an assist, while Michael Eyssimont, Chandler Stephenson, Shane Wright, and Adam Larsson also found the back of the net for Seattle. Jared McCann and Vince Dunn each tallied two assists in the win.

Vancouver goaltender Thatcher Demko made 14 saves in a rough outing for the Canucks, who were booed off the ice by the home crowd as the final horn sounded.

Game Takeaways

Kraken: Already eliminated from postseason contention for the third time in their four-year history, Seattle responded with a dominant performance despite being without key forwards Jaden Schwartz and Eeli Tolvanen.

Canucks: Vancouver’s playoff hopes continue to fade as they remain eight points behind Minnesota and St. Louis for the final two wild-card spots in the Western Conference.

Eyssimont gave the Kraken the early momentum with a breakaway goal late in the first period. He picked off a pass by Jake DeBrusk in the neutral zone and beat Demko five-hole to open the scoring.
