Jared McCann tallied two goals and an assist, and goaltender Joey Daccord made 23 saves as the Seattle Kraken cruised to a 5-1 win over the San Jose Sharks on Saturday night.
Daccord allowed just one goal — a first-period strike from Will Smith — after recording a shutout in his previous outing against Vancouver.
Andre Burakovsky contributed a goal and an assist, Jaden Schwartz netted his 24th of the season, and Chandler Stephenson scored for Seattle.
McCann got the Kraken on the board early, scoring at 5:46 of the first period and assisting on Burakovsky’s goal less than four minutes later. Smith answered for San Jose late in the opening frame, but Seattle pulled away with second-period goals from Stephenson, Schwartz, and McCann.
The loss marked the fourth straight for the league-worst Sharks.
Alexandar Georgiev started in net for San Jose but was pulled after allowing four goals on 11 shots in his 300th career appearance. Georgi Romanov took over midway through the second and made 10 saves on 11 shots.
