Shane Wright scored 1:57 into overtime to give the Seattle Kraken a thrilling 4-3 victory over the St. Louis Blues on Saturday night, completing a dramatic comeback after Chandler Stephenson tied the game with just two seconds left in regulation.

Seattle dominated possession in overtime — the Blues never touched the puck — as Wright buried the game-winner to secure the victory.

Jordan Kyrou, returning to the lineup after being a healthy scratch in St. Louis’ previous game, scored to give the Blues a 3-2 lead early in the third period. Dylan Holloway and Dalibor Dvorsky also scored for St. Louis, while Joel Hofer made 26 saves.

For Seattle, Ryker Evans and Eeli Tolvanen each scored in regulation, and Philipp Grubauer made 16 saves in net. The Kraken were without goaltender Joey Daccord, who remained in Seattle due to an upper-body injury.

The Blues jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period. Holloway opened the scoring at 5:30 after intercepting a pass in the slot and firing a wrist shot past Grubauer. Dvorsky doubled the lead less than five minutes later with a power-play goal that deflected off a Devils defender and in.

Seattle began to rally in the second. Evans cut the deficit to 2-1 with a wrist shot through traffic at 8:28, and Tolvanen tied it 2-2 on a power play at 15:25 — his first goal of the season.

After Kyrou’s go-ahead goal in the third, the Kraken pulled Grubauer for an extra attacker in the closing seconds, and Stephenson delivered, burying the tying goal with just two seconds left to force overtime.

Wright then completed the comeback, snapping a shot from the right circle past Hofer to give Seattle the win and improve the team’s road record.
