Philipp Grubauer delivered another stellar performance, stopping 41 shots, as the Seattle Kraken continued their torrid run with a 5–1 win over the Calgary Flames on Monday night.

Shane Wright broke a 1–1 tie early in the third period, sparking a four-goal outburst that put the game out of reach. Jacob Melanson, Vince Dunn, Frederick Gaudreau, and Matty Beniers also found the net for Seattle, which has gone 7-0-1 over its last eight games and is riding a five-game road winning streak.

The victory lifted the Kraken (19-14-7) into third place in the Pacific Division, just one point behind both Vegas and Edmonton. Seattle is level in games played with the Golden Knights and holds two games in hand on the Oilers.

Grubauer has been nearly unbeatable of late, winning four straight starts while allowing just one goal in each outing. Over that span, he’s turned aside 139 of 143 shots, good for a .972 save percentage.

Calgary (18-20-4) struck first when Adam Klapka jammed home a rebound 6:33 into the opening period. The Flames nearly doubled the lead moments later, but Jonathan Huberdeau was denied after being hauled down from behind on a breakaway, failing to convert on the resulting penalty shot.

Seattle evened the score early in the second period by capitalizing on a turnover, with Ryan Winterton setting up Melanson. The Kraken then seized full control in the third, scoring four unanswered goals.

Seattle’s fourth line continued to make an impact. Melanson’s goal was the first of his NHL career and extended his point streak to four games, while Winterton is also riding a four-game run. Ben Meyers, centering the line, helped keep the pressure on throughout.

For Calgary, defenseman Brayden Pachal returned after sitting out 10 games as a healthy scratch and led all players with nine hits.
