Anthony Stolarz made 27 saves in his first start since Dec. 12, leading the Toronto Maple Leafs to a 3-1 victory over the Seattle Kraken on Thursday night.
Philippe Myers, Bobby McMann, and Matthew Knies found the back of the net for Toronto, while Eeli Tolvanen scored Seattle’s lone goal. Joey Daccord also made 27 saves for the Kraken in his third consecutive start.
Game Recap
Myers opened the scoring 7:23 into the first period, netting his first goal of the season and first since 2022. McMann extended the lead with a power-play goal, capitalizing on a double-minor for high-sticking against Chandler Stephenson.
Knies pushed Toronto’s advantage to 3-0 midway through the second period, scoring for the third straight game. The Kraken opted not to challenge the goal, which was reviewed for a high stick but ultimately upheld.
Despite a late push, Seattle managed just one goal, with Tolvanen scoring 5:43 into the third to spoil Stolarz’s shutout bid. However, the Kraken failed to generate another breakthrough.
