Eeli Tolvanen netted two goals, including the decisive tally late in the second period, as the Seattle Kraken pulled away for a 6-3 win over the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday night.

Tolvanen’s go-ahead goal came just one minute after Matty Beniers tied the game at 3-3. Vince Dunn contributed two assists, reaching the 200-assist milestone in his career.

Seattle struck first with a goal from Andre Burakovsky at 5:47 of the first period. However, Vancouver responded with goals from Pius Suter and Filip Chytil to take a 2-1 lead.

Oliver Bjorkstrand equalized early in the second period. Still, the Canucks briefly reclaimed the advantage when Dakota Joshua scored at 8:05. Beniers and Tolvanen then found the back of the net to put Seattle ahead for good.

Brandon Montour extended the Kraken’s lead with a goal in the third period, and Tolvanen sealed the victory with an empty-net goal in the final minutes.

Shane Wright recorded two assists, while Montour also picked up a helper.

Seattle goaltender Joey Daccord made 28 saves, while Vancouver’s Kevin Lankinen stopped 18 shots.

Despite the loss, Vancouver retained the Western Conference’s second wild-card spot, as Florida shut out Calgary on Saturday.
