Jordan Eberle delivered in crunch time, scoring twice in the third period — including the go-ahead goal — to power the Seattle Kraken to a 5–3 win over the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday night.
Eeli Tolvanen, Kaapo Kakko, and Vince Dunn also found the net for Seattle. Dunn and Matty Beniers each tallied two assists, while Philipp Grubauer made 23 saves, filling in for injured starter Joey Daccord.
Winnipeg got goals from Mark Scheifele, Alex Iafallo, and Kyle Connor, but the Jets slipped to 1–4 on their six-game road swing. Connor Hellebuyck turned away just 13 shots in the loss.
Tolvanen knotted the game at 3–3 early in the third with a power-play one-timer, setting the stage for Eberle. Just minutes later, Beniers fed Eberle at the edge of the crease for a slick tip-in that put Seattle ahead for good. Eberle then sealed the win with his team-leading seventh goal on an empty-netter with under two minutes remaining — his second two-goal performance of the season.
Scheifele and Connor each now share Winnipeg’s team lead with 10 goals.
