Bobby McMann made an immediate impact in his first game with the Seattle Kraken, scoring twice and adding an assist in a 5-2 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday night.
Acquired from Toronto at the trade deadline, McMann’s debut had been delayed due to a visa issue that was resolved on Friday. Once he joined the lineup, the forward quickly delivered, helping Seattle snap a four-game losing streak and move within one point of the final Western Conference wild-card spot.
McMann’s linemates also had standout performances. Matty Beniers recorded a goal and two assists, while Jordan Eberle contributed three assists.
Jared McCann and Jamie Oleksiak also scored for Seattle, Brandon Montour collected two assists, and goaltender Philipp Grubauer made 32 saves.
For Vancouver, Evander Kane and Marco Rossi each scored. Nikita Tolopilo stopped 28 shots in goal. The Canucks, currently last in the NHL standings, continued an eight-game homestand, with five games remaining.
McMann opened his Kraken scoring with a power-play goal late in the first period and added another early in the third. Seattle acquired him in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft and a conditional second-round selection in 2027.
