Mats Zuccarello scored on a rush just over two minutes into overtime, lifting the Minnesota Wild to a 3-2 victory over the Seattle Kraken on Thursday night to wrap up a two-week road trip.

Zuccarello finished the game at 2:09 of the extra period, taking a feed from Kirill Kaprizov and beating the goaltender to end Minnesota’s seven-game journey. The Wild went 4-1-2 on the trip.

Minnesota built an early lead on first-period goals from Ryan Hartman and Brock Faber, while Jesper Wallstedt turned aside 26 shots in net. Defenseman Quinn Hughes assisted on Faber’s goal, giving him 13 points in 13 games since arriving via trade from Vancouver.

Seattle answered late. Adam Larsson scored early in the third period, and Matty Beniers tied the game on the power play at 9:07, sending it to overtime. Philipp Grubauer made 31 saves for the Kraken.

The loss snapped Seattle’s four-game winning streak, though the Kraken still extended their point streak to 10 games.
